With the vision to offer Higher Scholarship opportunities, Prof Dr. Jeffery Yap was a valueble basketball player and the Team Captain for MSSS (Majlis Sukan Sekolah Sekolah Malaysia) which represents Daerah Ulu Langat and Selangor State.
Hence, during his tenure of being a successful basketball player in his High School era. he always feels unfortunate to the phenomenon of Malaysia’s Sports Industry has NOT BEEN offering Basketball Scholarship unlike Football and other sports which offered Sports Scholarships for Malaysians.
With the 3 days of ABCD (Alpha Basketball Championship Divisions) Scholarships Competition 2017, Prof. Dr. Jeffery Yap has succesfully gathered more than 350 basketball partipants from the young age of 12-18 years old to compete with their excellence basketball skillsets pairing with teamwork to win their way to the 12 sets of Higher Education Opportunities which offered by Sunway Universities, HELP College, and MIA Academy.
